In an emergency, you’ll want your defibrillator to be easily accessible. Pick a central location like a kitchen, medicine cabinet, or living room, and show friends and family where it is.
Don’t store the device anywhere it would be exposed to very high or low temperatures, like a vehicle.
You may also want to store some additional supplies with your defibrillator.
- A pair of scissors to quickly remove clothing in an emergency
- A disposable razor to remove hair that may prevent pads from making good skin contact
- Alcohol wipes to clean off adhesives
- A towel to dry the skin before attaching the pads
- Disposable gloves and/or mask to protect the person providing aid
- A spare set of Defibrio pads
